The RX200S is the upgraded version of the popular RX200 design from Wismec. The RX200 is extremely popular and I would imagine pretty much every vaper has seen one. It has a unique diamond-ish shape due to the requirement of three 18650 batteries. The RX200S takes that same shape and design but adds a .96 inch OLED screen. The vertical screen makes it easy to see no matter which hand is dominant.

Wismec also carried over the signature 2-tone color theme of the device with multiple colors and replaceable panels.

The fire button has the Jaybo signature scrawl on it. Both the top and the bottom of the device is graced with the RX200 rounded triangle logo which depicts the battery orientation. The bottom has the device name and logo etched in as well.

The RX200S is a great looking and holding device. I was apprehensive about both the style and shape, but I can definitely see why it has become so popular.

I’m not sure what chip the RX200/RX200S uses but it functions very similarly to the popular chips from Joyetech. That is to say it works very well. Any type of temperature control you could want, including TCR values, is available. I do not typically use TC but I’ve tested the SS TC on the RX200S and it works just as good as my iStick100w TC and VTC Mini.

Since the first iteration of the Reuleaux I was leery of the size, shape, and weight. It is definitely not an easily pocketable mod. However, it doesn’t weigh as much as I expected and it is shorter than I expected. The height is just slightly smaller than the width of my hand across the knuckles. That shape is surprisingly awesome to hold. It fits so well in my hand and the weight gives it a nice solid feel. However, it’s not a very pocketable mod.

The 3 batteries is a nice feature that in theory provides extra battery life.  I didn’t see much difference using the same atomizer and build across mods however I didn’t have equal batteries to compare.

In the month I’ve had it, the RX200S has functioned great. The larger screen with horizontal text is awesome for us left handed people. The text and display shows all the information I could ask for. I primarily vape with variable wattage but I have tested SS temperature control and found it to be as good as the other Joyetech or eLeaf products. The interface functions the same and is always a joy to use. It’s nice when there is consistency across different products that doesn’t require relearning a new interface.

One of the common issues for the RX200 was the 510 and atomizer errors.  I’m an “everything flush” kind of person so I tighten atomizers as much as I can in hopes of achieving that flush look.  In the month I’ve been using the RX200S I have never received an atomizer error or any issues with the 510.  Few of my atomizers sit perfectly flush without a tiny gap but at least there is no errors.

Pressing the fire button 3 times turns on the menu options you can cycle through. You can change between VW, Ni TC, Ti TC, SS TC, and TCR Memories. You can choose to display puffs or amps and have an option to display a digital battery gauge or a battery percentage which is completely awesome. Pressing the fire button and left button toggles stealth mode off and on. With the mod off you can hold the fire button and right button to access the TCR menu to set custom TCR values.

IMG_0143I have to admit I never “understood” the RX200. I do get it now though. Perhaps it’s one of those things you need to experience first hand.  I really like this mod and it’s probably one of those situations where I should have listened to the hype. The mod itself is nice to hold and shorter than I expected. It is not a very portable or better stated pocketable mod. However, the interface is comfortable and works very well. The build quality seems quite nice and I haven’t had any issues with atomizer errors or anything else at all. I definitely recommend adding the RX200S to your mod considerations.

Vaping since Jan 1, 2014. When I first started I was lost in the world of vaping. I didn't know where to begin. Once I found my way I wanted to help others on their path. So I started writing juice reviews on JuiceDB and eventually started reviewing new hardware I purchased. While I don't consider myself an expert, I am somewhat of a vetern of vaping, and I hope my casual-advanced vaper opinion provides you assistance. You can find me on Reddit as well under the user name sc0lm00.
